On May 17, the Eupener Straße campus was transformed into a lively meeting place for students, initiatives and good humor: the summer festival attracted over 400 participants to the grounds in the best weather this time!
The meadow filled up early on. The undisputed star of the day? The kebab for an incredible €3.50. No wonder that a queue over 30 meters long quickly formed around the stand. Two large kebab skewers were almost completely sold out.
In addition to the physical well-being, there was also plenty of opportunity for exchange and inspiration: various university initiatives presented themselves and offered visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in new topics and projects. These included ArbeiterKind.de, the FH Aachen start-up center, the AixRacing team and the Flugwissenschaftliche Vereinigung Aachen (FVA) - the latter provided a real eye-catcher on campus with an 18-meter-long glider.
Apart from the kebab for €3.50, there was of course another highlight: the Eurovision Song Contest was broadcast live in a lecture hall in the D building - to the delight of numerous ESC fans, who filled the hall and shared in the excitement.
Just like last year, the Summer Festival 2025 was a complete success - lively, diverse and collaborative. Special thanks go to all the helping hands, initiatives and organizers who made this day possible.
