Craving a really delicious apple pie that everyone loves? Then you’re in the right place! With fresh apples, a crispy crust, and a pinch of cinnamon, you can whip up a cake that will fill the whole house with a wonderful aroma in no time. Perfect for your next coffee gathering or just for snacking on your own – don’t miss out!
Ingredients for the recipe:
Start with a bowl for the dough: 300g flour, 200g sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, a pinch of salt, 180g margarine knead together. Chill the dough for 30 minutes. In the meantime, peel 1.2kg apples (1kg is sufficient), quarter them, and remove the core. Cut the apples into 2-3cm pieces, and add 1 tbsp lemon juice and 1 tsp cinnamon. Caramelize 50g sugar in a pot, then add 100ml water, apples, and 2 tbsp cornstarch-vanilla sugar mixture. Stir and let it thicken, then set aside.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C for fan ovens). Grease a 26cm springform pan with margarine. Divide the dough into 3 parts, place 2/3 of it in the bottom of the pan, and form an edge. Spread the apple mixture on top. Tear off crumbles from the remaining dough and place them on the apples. Bake the cake for 55 minutes. Let it cool for at least 2 hours and then enjoy. Bon appétit!
