The University Elections 2026

What your vote decides – An overview of the committees: 

• Student Parliament (SP): You elect the highest decision-making body of the student body. The SP elects and monitors the AStA and decides on your semester fees as well as the budget (including the semester ticket).
  

• Departmental Student Council (FSR): Your vote determines your direct representation within your department. The FSR is your first point of contact for problems; they provide academic advising and organize orientation weeks as well as events.
  

• Senate: Here, you elect student representatives at the central university level. The Senate participates in the election of the Rectorate and decides on the fundamental constitution of FH Aachen.
  

• Faculty Council (FBR): You decide who represents you in your department regarding examination regulations and the appointment of new professors.
  

• SHK Representation: If you work as a student assistant, you elect your interest group here, which advocates for fair working conditions, holiday entitlements, and your rights as an employee.

May 18th – May 22nd, 2026. Don’t forget: Every vote counts! Precisely because voter turnout is often low, you can achieve maximum impact with minimal effort. Go vote: for better study conditions, your semester ticket, and a vibrant FH Aachen.
