Aachen's study places checked - Mayersche Aachen

What at first glance looks like an ordinary bookshop quickly turns out to be a cozy retreat for learning: we are talking about Mayersche Aachen.

What opportunities do you have at Mayersche and is Mayersche a good place for you to study?

On all floors you will find quiet seating with tables right by the window and a relaxed atmosphere. There are also small cafés on all floors of the bookshop where you can get coffee, tea or a small snack. This makes study time that little bit more comfortable.

Power sockets are available almost everywhere, so you can study for several hours at a time with peace of mind. Of course, there are also toilets on the 2nd floor and free Wi-Fi on site!

Little tip: If you prefer a quieter atmosphere, it's best to come right when it opens or in the morning. By the way, the terrace on the top floor is also a great place to study when the weather is nice.

The Mayersche is open from Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., making it ideal for a study evening as well. It is located directly in the city center on Buchkremerstraße, easily accessible by bus, bike or on foot from the campus (except Jülich).

Finally, a short checklist with all the important points:

✅ free Wifi

✅ Power sockets available

✅ Sufficient seating available

✅ Toilets available (2nd floor)

✅ Centrally located / easily accessible

✅ Opening hours suitable

✅ Drinks and snacks nearby

✅ Calm atmosphere
